Privacy Policy

This page describes what personal data Veidum processes when you contact us, and how we handle it.

Controller

The data controller is Mārtiņš Frīdenbergs, Riga, Latvia, email hello@veidum.lv. Veidum currently operates as a private person, not a registered company.

What data we collect

When you fill in the quote request form on the pricing page, we receive:

  • Your name
  • Your email
  • Your phone number (if provided, optional)
  • Your message (if provided, optional)
  • The service configuration and indicative price you selected
  • The language you used to fill in the form
  • The time the request was submitted

In addition, our hosting server automatically keeps access logs (IP address, browser, timestamp) for security purposes.

Purpose and legal basis

We process quote-request data to respond to your request and prepare a quote — a pre-contractual step taken at your initiative (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). We process server logs in our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Cookies and analytics

We only set cookies that aren't strictly necessary for the site to function after you consent. The banner at the bottom of the page lets you accept or decline them, and you can change your choice anytime via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. If you decline or make no choice, these tools do not run.

  • Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) — visit statistics: pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location (from IP address), referring site. Cookies: _ga, _ga_*, _gid.
  • Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited) — measures ad performance on Facebook and Instagram. Cookie: _fbp.
  • Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited) — session recordings and heatmaps to understand how visitors use the site. Cookies: _clck, _clsk.

We only use these tools with your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time — this doesn't affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Data may be transferred to these providers in the US; such transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).

We store your consent choice in your browser's local storage so we don't have to ask on every visit — this contains no personal data.

Recipients

We don't send quote-request or message data to any third party — we use no third-party form services or ad platforms for that data. The only processors are our web hosting provider (iWebFusion) and our email mailbox provider, handling data solely for the technical purpose of getting your message to us. If you consent to cookies as described above, additional processors are Google Ireland Limited, Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, and Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited.

Retention

We keep quote-request emails for as long as needed for the enquiry, and no longer than 24 months after the last contact, after which they're deleted. Analytics data is kept per each tool's default retention period (Google Analytics — typically 14 months; Meta and Microsoft Clarity — per their own terms), and is deleted sooner if you withdraw consent.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, or restrict your data, to object to its processing, and to data portability. You can change your cookie consent at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. To exercise the other rights, write to us at hello@veidum.lv. If you believe your data has been processed unlawfully, you can file a complaint with the Data State Inspectorate (dvi.gov.lv).
